Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Possibly Delayed; Here's What We Know So Far

Brace yourselves for some bad news about the anticipated Galaxy S24 FE. While Samsung kicked off the year with the Galaxy S24 series, the foldable Z series, and other products like the Galaxy Tab S10 series, there's some indication about a possible FE variant in the S24 lineup but its launch seems far.

Leaked with codename R12, the hints from GalaxyClub suggest it could be the Galaxy S24 FE, continuing the tradition from its predecessors like the S20 FE (R8), S21 FE (R9), and S23 FE (R11). Interestingly, there's a nod to the skipped R10 for the Galaxy S22 FE, which never saw the light of day.

However, details about the S24 FE remain scarce, hinting at a possible delay compared to the usual abundance of leaks seen around this time for previous FE models. Given the development stage, it's reasonable to anticipate a November launch or even later.

Recalling the specs of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in the US and a Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC elsewhere. The Samsung new flagship smartphone coupled with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Its 6.4-inch AMOLED display boasts FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

Internally, the device runs on One UI 5.1-based Android 13 (upgradable to Android 14 and later as Android progresses). In the camera department, the S23 FE impresses with a 50MP main unit with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Not to forget a 10MP front camera that shoots crisp selfies.

Plus, users enjoy the convenience of a 4,500mAh battery supporting 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, along with an IP68-rated body and dual speakers. As Samsung gears up for its next FE offering, fans must remain patient due to the delayed launch timeline. Stay tuned for more updates as the rumor mill churns out more details.
