The trend of price hikes in Pakistan that started with Xiaomi continues as Samsung follows in its footsteps. The Korean phone maker heavily bumped up the pricing of two Galaxy S21 series phones. Here are the details.

The Galaxy S21 came out at Rs. 149,999, but it now starts from Rs. 169,499, adding Rs. 19,499 to the price tag. In a similar vein, the S21 Ultra is also pricier now. Instead of Rs. 216,999, it is now available for 224,999, setting you back an extra Rs. 8,000.

Samsung Galaxy S21

The S21 rocks one of the most cutting-edge displays from Samsung. We’re looking at a 6.2” Dynamic OLED screen that peaks at an eye-searing 1300 nits of brightness, delivers a 1080P resolution, and refreshes at a highly responsive 120Hz. You get support for HDR10+ content and excellent protection offered by Gorilla Glass Victus (the toughest there is.)

For optics, the camera housing contains two OIS-powered 12MP wide and ultrawide lenses.

Not to mention a 64 MP OIS telephoto that can zoom in at 1.1x. A 10MP selfie camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is embedded in the display.

The plastic back comes in Phantom White, Phantom Gray, Phantom Violet, and Phantom Pink editions.

Under this hood, the Exynos 2100, 8GB of memory, 256GB of storage, and a 4000 mAh battery power the S21. The phone can fast-charge at 25W over the wire and 15W wirelessly.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

The Ultra has a 6.8” curved screen with roughly the same specs as the S21, but with 1500 nits of peak brightness and a QHD+ resolution. The build is a glass sandwich rated IP68. Plus, the phone has support for the S-pen.

Samsung’s highest-end camera system launched with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It's made of four cameras: a 108MP f/1.8 OIS camera, a 10MP periscope lens with 10x zoom, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Selfies are taken with a 40 MP sensor.

As for the internal specs, the S21 Ultra has the same setup but is powered by a bigger 5000 mAh battery. You get up to 16GB of memory and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
