An early taste of One UI 9 can only be had with a beta program, and right now it’s only accessible on the Galaxy S26 series. But a queue is starting to form. There are many other devices in line to get the beta update soon. We recently found Galaxy A56’s One UI 9 beta on Samsung test servers.
We’ve been following a firmware build A566SKSU9ZZHH through the leaks. This is very clearly an update meant for the Galaxy A56, and the source that leaked this firmware is confident that it’s actually One UI 9 beta being tested on Samsung servers.
But not all regions will get to see the beta update on the Galaxy A56. There are always regional restrictions. The firmware you read about is for the South Korean market, Samsung’s base of operations. And even in the region, only Samsung members who commit to the beta test can access the early build.
But it’s still nice to know that Samsung is making progress on the One UI 9 update. If this isn’t enough proof for you, one of the Asian markets already has a Samsung Community page for it. A One UI 9 beta forum for the Galaxy A56 just opened up in India.
Samsung hasn’t really opened this beta for any other device except the S26 series, so we don’t see the update arriving on the Galaxy A56 anytime soon. Galaxy S25 series is probably next in the queue if they ever decide to push the One UI 9 beta on their other handsets.
By the way, if you are really invested in One UI 9 and want to try a stable build with no strings attached, you might need to buy a Galaxy S26 FE at least. This handset came with Android 17 and One UI 9 out of the box. Or you can spring for a foldable option like the Galaxy Z Flip 8 or a Fold 8. Devices like the Galaxy A56 have a long way to go before we see stable One UI 9 on them. Keep watching the news for more stories.
