Samsung is now rolling out the One UI 7 update for its Galaxy A54, with South Korea being the first country to receive it, and more regions expecting the update soon. The new firmware, identified by build number A546SKSU9DYD7, weighs in at 3.5GB and includes the April 2025 security patch.
Galaxy A54 users finally get to experience the latest features and improvements packed into the company’s newest software version. The One UI 7 is based on Android 15, and it’s supposed to overhaul the entire operating system from the core to the UI elements.
We have yet to see this update outside of Korea. It’s only a matter of time before more regions start seeding the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A54. Likewise, Pakistani users will also have to wait for it and occasionally “Check for Updates” in Settings >> Software Updates.
There are several changes to notice on your new 5G Samsung mobile throughout the new firmware, but the ones you’ll immediately catch are the changed icons for Samsung native apps and a selection of new widgets. You also have a fully revamped quick panel in the new software.
On Android 15 x One UI 7, the status bar is split into two sections (Quick Panel + Notification Bar). It now shows alerts separately instead of merging them with the quick tiles. Those toggles in the quick panel are bigger, and there’s a new volume slider in the mix.
With this new split notification and Quick panel, Samsung has finally caught up with other Android competitors. The native Samsung Apps get more colorful and redesigned icons, and the vivid mode should get more accurate colors after this One UI 7 update.
There are tons of new widgets and better customization for the quick panel. Notifications are bigger and more readable now. We now have an app drawer that scrolls vertically, some new AI features, a personalized lock screen, and better Knox security as part of a massive system overhaul.
Now that the One UI 7 update is officially out for the Galaxy A54, you should check periodically to see if the update is available in your region. With an April 2025 patch in tow, this is also a priority update to fix some security issues in the current firmware. Samsung Galaxy A53 users can also expect another update soon.
