Galaxy A17 4G is one year old already, so it’s time for the Samsung Galaxy A18 to come out. The older version actually debuted in September 2025, and we can’t help but suspect the same schedule for this newcomer. We’ll be seeing the Galaxy A18 4G around mid-September. The leak today revealed each and everything about this device.
Some of the details will apply to the 5G version as well. The only difference they usually have is the chipset. The leak is for the 4G version in particular. Renders show the phone from different angles, and there are at least three color options.
There’s a Light blue and a Silver version. And you have the regular Black shade on the Samsung latest A model, though these won’t be the exact marketing names. The newcomer is only 7.7mm thick. It does have an IP64 rating, so it’s at least splashproof.
The rear side has a vertical island where all three cameras are installed. There’s a 50MP main unit. And then we have a 5MP ultrawide next to a 2MP macro unit. The design’s pretty bland: speaker at the bottom, fingerprint on the side, and a notched AMOLED on the front.
Samsung’s not ready to ditch the notch just yet. The phone actually looks a lot like the Galaxy A17 from last year, even on the inside. Galaxy A18 4G is built around a Helio G99 chip, and there’s a 6.7” FHD+ AMOLED on the front with Gorilla Glass Victus.
The refresh rate will be 90Hz. 4GB is the minimum RAM you’ll get on the A18 4G, with 128GB or 256GB storage. There’s an option for an SD card as well. There’s no battery upgrade on the phone, says Android Headlines. They are going with the same 5000mAh cell again this year.
The charging speed will be capped at 25W since this is an entry-tier phone. They’ve also put WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 in the essentials. The MSRP for the base Galaxy A18 4G might jump to €300. But this needs further investigation. Keep watching the news for more updates.
