Redmi 15C Fully Revealed; Specs, Price, and Storage Options Confirmed by EU Retailer

Xiaomi plans to launch the “Redmi 15C” in the global market soon. The company usually tries to unveil these budget devices by the end of August, so it’s likely right around the corner. Over the past few days, the phone’s design, color options, specs, and price tag have all been tipped in a series of viral leaks. We have a lot to cover in today’s news, so let’s jump in.

The phone recently passed China’s MIIT certification, which is usually a sign of a forthcoming launch. What we found in the document is the model number “2508CRN2BC” assigned to the phone. The figure “2508” at the beginning is probably the date Redmi 15C is supposed to launch.

The signs point to a debut on 25th August, but it’s not set in stone. Yesterday, we found multiple variants of this phone on Epto, which is a famous Italian online retail platform. It’s probably an early product listing with a “Notify me when Available” tag, but it did cover a lot of interesting facts about the Redmi 15C.

The Xiaomi's latest budget mobile is more impressive than its price tag leads you to believe. Remember that this is the descendant of the same Redmi 14C that was priced at ~$65 in select markets last year. Keep this price in mind when you read the specs in the next section.

Redmi 15C has a huge 6.9” LCD panel with a solid 120Hz refresh rate. This phone has a 50MP camera on the back and a 13MP selfie sensor on the front in a drop-notch cutout. The newcomer plans to stick with the same Helio G81 Ultra chip that was used with the Redmi 14C.

The upgrade we are excited for this year is not the chip or the display. It’s rather the battery and charging speed on the Redmi 15C. This phone has been tipped with a 6000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging as a backup. It’s a nice little boost over the old 5160mAh x 18W combo.

We already saw its Moonlight Blue, Twilight Orange, Midnight Black, and Green color options in recently obtained renders by nieuwemobiel. The only missing details were its price tag and storage trims, and they were just leaked by the Italian retailer. Redmi 15C will feature 128GB and 256GB storage, both limited to 4GB RAM. In Europe, at least, their prices could be around €134 and €155.

These prices are subject to Europe’s high value-added taxes, so the true cost of the Redmi 15C is still amiss. We are sure the remaining details will also appear in leaks before the official launch. Stick around if you want to stay in the loop.
