Realme is starting the year with a new V-series entry. Realme's official sources confirmed that the Realme V15 is coming out this week. Promos are out. And the phone is already available for pre-order in China. Here's everything we know about the Realme V15.

The Realme V15 is launching on January 7 at 2 p.m (11 a.m. PKT). Realme's marketing chief Xu Qi Chase made the official announcement on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. Alongside the timeline, Mr. Chase also published promotional posters, showcasing a new, wholly original design.

Realme V15, codenamed ‘Koi’, first leaked in hands-on photos. It takes design inspiration from Japanese ornamental Koi fish, hence the codename. We’re looking at a sleek and polished embossed finish, painted in the red-to-yellow color palette of Koi fish.

The camera plate, in the shape of a stretched box, sticks out from a corner. Of the three cameras on the Realme new model 2021, the primary unit has a 64MP sensor behind it — the text on the housing reads so. In typical Realme fashion, ‘Dare to Leap’ is engraved in a bold typeface. Flip the Realme V15 over to find a standard, slim bezel screen with a hole-punch.

For the specifications, we turn once again to the leaks shared on Weibo. Based on those sources, the Realme V15 has the Dimensity 800U at its heart — a mid-range 5G chipset from MediaTek.

Realme’s leading 50W fast-charging technology powers the battery (Its capacity is unknown at the time of this writing). No physical fingerprint reader to be seen anywhere, suggesting that the Realme V15 might use an OLED panel with an in-screen sensor.
