Realme is Introducing Record-breaking 'World's Fastest Mobile Charging Tech' at MWC 2022

February has been a busy year for Realme. They recently rolled out the Realme 9i in Pakistan. And the flagship GT2 series will make its global debut at the MWC Barcelona 2022. But the two GT2 phones aren’t the only products the Chinese manufacturer has in store for us. Realme will also unveil lightning-fast charging at the event.

Android phones have made leaps in charging tech, and 65W power has almost become the standard for modern smartphones. But the latest innovation from Realme promises to bump the speeds up to a ridiculously fast 200W.

Realme has already put up posters for the ‘World’s Fastest Charging Tech’ on its social media pages. The promos don’t specify the Realme new phone model or the exact specs of the charging tech, but a photo showcasing the charging brick in question was leaked online. It specifies the 200W output (20V/10A.) Infinix has launched its 160W charging tech. So Realme will have to outcompete Infinix for the title. We’ll get confirmation when it’s demoed at the February 28 event.

It isn’t the first time Realme has announced a cutting-edge charging solution. We saw similar teasers but for 125W support last year. The next-gen UltraDART charge was supposed to deliver a 100% top-up in just 20 minutes! Only three minutes would be enough for a 33% recharge. Xiaomi teased a hypercharge concept of their own, operating at 200W but the brand has yet to bring it to market.

But it was never introduced with an actual Realme phone. Safety and battery health are priorities for blazing-fast charging speeds. Realme seems to finally have ironed out these kinks.
