Realme GT Concept Stuns with Massive 10,000mAh Battery & 320W Charging

Realme was the first company to introduce 240W charging to the consumer market when it first unveiled the Realme GT Neo 5 in 2023. No other brand has been able to touch that record yet. It seems Realme has now outdone itself by introducing a prototype device with ultra-fast 320W charging and a 10,000mAh battery.

Before we get to see the Realme GT 7 in the global markets, which, by the way, is different from the one in China, the company has unveiled a concept phone brandishing the GT moniker, carrying a behemoth 10,000mAh battery. What’s even more impressive is that it’s wired to a 320W fast charging kit.

The brand has achieved those numbers in a duration no one thought possible, yet here we are with a phone that’s only 8.5mm thin and has a capacity of 10,000mAh, almost double the amount that a typical Android phone offers.

The brand’s marketing chief, Chase Xu, did the unboxing himself in a video and posted it on X/Twitter. From what we’ve gathered, the battery they used here has a 10% silicon-anode element, which is the largest ever used in a power pack according to industry standards. Realme smartphone prices may rise with this premium battery tech.

This battery is claimed to have an energy density of 887Wh/L. As you can see in the video, the battery is still unusually big to fit inside a typical Android phone. So, they had to make some other arrangements. Realme shrank the device’s motherboard to just 23.4mm tall.

We have never seen a motherboard this short on an Android phone. But, the 10,000 mAh battery gets a snug fit inside the concept phone thanks to all the extra space. 8.5mm, 215g weight, 320W Charging, and 10,000mAh battery are all fascinating numbers, but will this phone ever enter the consumer market? Is it safe enough for an everyday user?

Chase Xu said that the battery has triple protection: first for battery swelling, second for an even electrolyte distribution, and third for drop protection with reinforced dual-groove Aluminium mesh. This battery should be impact-resistant and safe to use.

Realme’s 240W charging took little time to go from concept to a full-blown consumer product. The same might happen with this prototype. We’ll keep an eye out for any new developments regarding the concept GT 10,000 mAh phone, so be sure to stick around.
