Realme will debut its flagship GT 8 series in October, and the announcement came from the company’s VP Wang Wei himself. Amid all the excitement, a leak from Smart Pikachu has confirmed a few details about this series’ baseline model, the Realme GT 8.
The tipster from Weibo is adamant that one of the phones will bring a 6.6” flat screen. The phone is small in size, yet Smart Pikachu hints at a 7000mAh battery inside it. The leaker's post was tagged Realme GT 8, so these specs likely belong to the vanilla variant.
If the rumors hold, we might find a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, not just on the Pro model but on the vanilla Realme GT 8 as well. Android 16 Realme UI 7 will be out by the time these devices hit the stage, so expect all the latest features from Google and a redesigned UI from the company.
Realme GT new model is rumored to be the bigger model in this year’s lineup. From what we know so far, the Pro sibling might use a high refresh rate 6.85” OLED screen. Pixel density will be higher on this panel with WQHD+ or 1440 resolution, a notch above last year’s GT 7 Pro.
GT 8 Pro will probably use a battery north of 7000mAh, but there’s no confirmation for it yet. There’s a likely chance of 100W fast charging support with this build, and some leakers believe its screen might carry AR anti-glare coating just like the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
An Ultrasonic fingerprint reader will also make a comeback on Realme’s GT 8 Pro. You can also look forward to some major camera upgrades here. On the Pro model at least, the company is reportedly mounting the lineup’s first-ever 200MP periscope telephoto lens. It will have the same hardware as the Oppo Find X9 Pro.
Details on the Realme GT 8 are far and few. The leaker only gave away its battery and display size. Nothing else has appeared on the web so far. Realme VP already gave up the launch month. It’s only a matter of time before more information comes out. Keep watching the news for updates.
