Realme GT 7 (Global) to Feature Dimensity 9400e; Design Teased Ahead of Launch

If you’ve been active on social media, you might already know that Realme plans to launch the GT 7 lineup in Pakistan soon. We know everything about the global GT 7 Pro, but the vanilla Realme GT 7 has not been released outside of China yet. Apparently, the device headed for international markets is different from its Chinese counterpart. Here are the details.

The company has been putting some teasers out there for the global Realme GT 7, but so far, no specs have been revealed. However, we are fairly certain that it’s not as powerful as its Chinese variant.

The device showed up on Geekbench last month, and according to earlier assumptions, the phone was meant to have a Dimensity 9300+ SoC. The Chinese GT 7, on the other hand, has a far more powerful Dimensity 9400+ SoC, putting both these devices in different leagues.

Because of the presumed D9300+ SoC, the Realme's latest GT model (global) was dubbed a rebranded Realme Neo 7, which has that very same chipset. It seems that might not be the case anymore since the latest video teasers show a completely different design for the newcomer.

The teasers proved the former speculations wrong. The Realme GT 7 (global) does not resemble the Neo 7 in terms of design. It would seem that the earlier SoC from Geekbench was mistaken for a Dimensity 9300 Plus when in reality, it’s a chipset called Dimensity 9400e.

The confusion is understandable since both these chips have the same GPU/CPU clock frequencies and architecture. It does have some upgrades, but they are rarely mentioned on sites like Geekbench. Since the new teasers proved the earlier reports wrong, we are back to square one, with little to no information about the global Realme GT 7.

Assuming it’s the same device as the Chinese variant (except the SoC), there might be a 6.8” 144Hz AMOLED on the front and a 50MP + 8MP camera setup on the back. We might see a 16MP selfie cam, ultrasonic fingerprint, WiFi 7, and up to 100W fast charging on this device. As always, nothing’s guaranteed until the company confirms the details. So stay tuned for follow-up news.
