With each new addition, Realme's current-gen C series is progressively getting better. Following only weeks after the Realme C15 release, the Oppo sub-brand is gearing up to introduce the Realme C17 in Pakistan. While Realme hasn’t announced the device yet, WhatMobile has the scoop.

The highlight of the upcoming Realme C17 budget phone would evidently be its display, so let’s start there. Stretching 6.5” corner to corner, the screen reaches a 90Hz refresh rate while running a 120Hz touch sampling rate — to point out the obvious, Realme is going back to its roots with this value model.

Realme is also redoing the design language too which has stagnated with recent releases. You can pick from two different choices: Navy Blue, which features a glossy, reflective back, and Lake Green which presents a lighter frosted matte finish.

The Realme C17 is surrounded in slim bezels, allowing for a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It can only manage an HD+ resolution, however. Unlike the notched displays on Realme C11, C12 or even the C15, The front camera on C17 is nestled inside a hole-punch cutout, making it the first C-series model to feature this design.

The camera island has an L-style layout, mounted next to a rear-facing fingerprint scanner (but it’s too generic to have a distinct flavor). It’s lighter, slimmer than its predecessors, and has resistance against water splashes.

The latest in Qualcomm’s 400 lineup, the Snapdragon 460 processor is at the heart of the C17 by Realme. It promises improved performance and better power efficiency thanks to its thinner 11nm manufacturing process. A big 5,000 mAh battery powers this chipset, supported by 18W fast charging. To extend your battery life further, the Android10-based realme UI onboard uses dedicated algorithms and modes.

We find four cameras on the back: a 13MP standard camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera that captures 119° shots, a macro sensor for closeup shots, and a space filler B&W portrait lens to round it all off. For low-light shots, the image-processing is augmented with the ‘Nightscape mode’. Realme 7i is all set to launch in Pakistan on  September 23 and will ship with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. Further expandable with a microSD card the handset might start from Rs. 34,999.
