Oppo Reno4 F Teased to Arrive Soon; Features a Sleek Design and a Focus on Portrait Photography

Oppo's New Reno series currently features a host of models: Oppo Reno 4, Reno 4 Z, Reno 4 Lite, and Oppo Reno 4 Pro. It'll soon be welcoming another edition named Reno4 F. Teasers for the upcoming phone are already out and it's slated for launch on October 12. It appears to be yet another F17 Pro rebadge, following the Reno4 Lite.

Built with a focus on keeping the phone lightweight and sleek, this renamed Oppo F17 Pro has a 7.48mm frame — making it the slimmest in Oppo’s Reno4 lineup. Not to mention the featherweight 164g footprint.

Around the front of the Oppo Reno 4F, we find a 6.43” SuperAMOLED screen reaching a 90.67% screen-to-body ratio. It operates on a standard 60Hz refresh rate, but the touch sampling goes up to 180Hz. Inside the front panel, a lengthened hole-punch houses the two front cameras. The Reno4 F comes in a new silver colorway, other than the half-tone charcoal edition.

The Reno4 F teaser trailers also highlight the phone’s portrait photography features, which include AI Color Portrait that desaturates the background, leaving only the subject in color, hardware-powered dual-lens bokeh, and Ultra-clear 108MP images generated through software processing.

There’s support for EIS via the ‘Ultra Steady Video’ mode for both front and back cameras on Oppo Reno4 F. Counting the two selfie cameras, the handset has a total of 6 AI portrait cameras. The main camera is 48MP, which works with an 8MP wide-angle sensor and a pair of 2MP mono sensors. The front camera is 16MP and uses an additional 2MP lens for depth mapping.

Oppo’s best-in-class 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 powers up the Reno4 F — fully charging the 4,015 mAh battery onboard in only 53 minutes. If you leave your phone charging overnight, there’s a dedicated AI Night Charging mode that optimizes the charging process.

MediaTek-made Helio P95 chipset is at the heart of the Reno4 F, split into eight cores, and clocked at 2.2 GHz. For intelligent gameplay optimization, the processor has MediaTek’s HyperEngine Technology. It comes in a 8GB + 128GB configuration.
