Oppo Reno 3 Series Amasses 5,00,000 Pre-sale Registrations in just under a week; launching Tomorrow in China

Following a slew of leaks, rumors, and teasers, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro was finally revealed on Oppo’s official website last week for the pre-bookings in China. And the company claims that the pre-orders have crossed the 500,000 mark by now. The handset is all set to launch in China on the 26th of December and we’ve already got the specifications and the design details. Let’s dive in.

The OPPO Reno 3 duo will be making a debut on December 26 -- with both variants offering support for dual-mode 5G. The vanilla variant or the Oppo Reno 3 will rock a MediaTek 5G-enabled SoC (which is the first 5G MediaTek chip, by the way), while the Reno 3 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset that has an SD X52 modem baked into it.

The official listing reveals that the Reno 3 Pro will be offered in two different memory configurations: an 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage combination and another with 12 GB of memory + 256 GB of native storage.

We were also expecting the third 12 GB + 128 GB variant to make an appearance, but it seems that it might not be going official as of yet. Moving on to the design. If the published renders are anything to go by, the Reno 3 Pro is pure eye-candy.

The AMOLED display measures 6.5 inches, produces an FHD+ resolution at a 90 Hz refresh rate and embeds an in-display fingerprint reader. The bezels have been trimmed to a point where they’re hardly visible, and the all-screen display is simply gorgeous, albeit it touts a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner.

You can pick from Moonlight Black, Misty White, Night Sky Blue, and Sunrise hues. The quad-camera module has a slight bump, but it appears to be very symmetrical and aesthetic. The phone packs 4,025 mAh of power but is only 7.7 mm thick. You also get support for 30W fast-charging.

The primary lens housed inside the rear-module maxes out at 48 MP, with a 13-megapixel ultrawide-angle and an 8-megapixel sensor, likely to be a periscope shooter. The duo runs on an Android-10-based Color OS 7, which Oppo has already revealed at a launch event. Reno3 Pro 5G is expected to start at an Oppo price tag of 3,699 Yuan or 81,000 PKR while its higher model will cost around 4,199 Yuan or 92,000 PKR without taxes.
