We covered an Oppo A6s version in January that launched in China as a 4G model. That very same device has now arrived in Pakistan. But we do have to warn you that the company went a little overboard with the phone’s local pricing. Take a look at its specs, and find the Oppo A6s cost below.
Its screen is an IPS-type LCD of 6.75” size. We don’t have any complaints about its size or brightness at 1,125 nits. But there should have been an AMOLED at this price. The resolution is only HD+ 720p, and may not be ideal for pixel peepers.
They did go all out with the phone’s 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. This is an IPS LCD after all. So the fingerprint ID is pushed to the side, on the power key. It doesn’t have the new ColorOS 16 either. Oppo A6s defaults to the older Android 15.
Even more disappointing is a Snapdragon 685 on this latest Oppo budget model, which has entry-tier performance at best. There’s 8GB RAM on the Pakistani version. The storage is 256GB at UFS 2.2 speeds, so it’s not too shabby. In fact, 8/256GB is ideal for the price.
Oppo Trinity Engine and Luminous Rendering Engine should make the UI more responsive, even though the chip is old and not well-suited to Android 15. It doesn’t need cooling. But the A6s still has a VC cooling chamber to keep the chipset from overheating.
It will surely take some heat away from the battery. There’s a big 7,000 mAh cell here. The thickness creeps up to 8.61mm, because the cell is not Si/C. We also have an 80W charging support for quick refills. They’ve obviously poured all the effort into the Oppo A6s design and power.
The IP96 rating will keep the Oppo A6s 4G safe from water. The rear cameras are 50MP (Main) with a 2MP monochrome unit. The selfie shooter is 16MP. They’ve also baked in NFC and dual Speakers here. Oppo A6s only brings an 8/256GB option in Pakistan so far, and it hits the wallet with a whopping Rs 74,999 price tag.
