OPPO A17k Leaked Promo Posters Highlight Design and Detailed Specifications

In quick succession to OPPO A17 (released in Malaysia a few days ago), the Chinese manufacturer plans to roll out a sequel dubbed OPPO A17k. And owing to the latest exuded marketing banners, we now have its extensive feature list. Let's see what kind of hardware it packs.

Firstly, the naming convention and specifications of the OPPO A16K's successor indicate a trimmed price. The current runner, A17, is a design-centric phone and doesn't offer much in the name of specs; A17k takes all that and dials it back a notch.

The leaked previews show a familiar leather back design but unlike its alter-ego, OPPO A17k brings a single camera silo on the rear. There are two new color options, Gold & Navy Blue, metal rims, rounded corners, and thick bezels around the screen.

The latest addition to the OPPO Price list has v-notch bleeding into a 6.56-inch IPS screen. The display maxes out at 720p or HD+ resolution. A higher refresh rate is also lacking here, capping it to 60Hz. The notch on the forehead hides a 5MP F/2.2 portrait mode selfie shooter.

MediaTek's Helio G35 chipset gives the A17k a maximum processing speed of 2.3GHz. Same as A17, PowerVR GE8320 GPU handles the visual performance. Paired with an Inbuilt 64GB storage, it features 3GB of physical RAM + up to 4GB of virtual RAM.

In addition, the device includes a fingerprint scanner on the side and Dirac 3.0 ultra-volume mode speakers. Powered by ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12, it bares a 5,000mAh battery calibrated for 10W fast charging and a single 8MP camera. Based on previously discovered leaks, OPPO A17k will likely debut within October, costing around 28,000 PKR.
