Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Certified on its Way to Global Launch; Here’s What We Know

Usama Rasool

The Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro were launched by Nothing back in March last year. So, we might be just weeks away from the debut of its successors. GSMA’s IMEI is where we first found the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. The same device has now been registered on the TDRA database in the UAE.

An entry was made for the Nothing model A069 on TDRA. It’s believed to be the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. There’s evidence to back that claim. We mentioned the IMEI listing. The same model A069P (with the suffix “P”) was officially given the label Phone (4a) Pro.

Now, TDRA itself didn’t have much to reveal about the newcomer’s specs. And neither did the IMEI listing. But this is solid proof of the Phone (4a) Pro’s existence and that its launch is mere weeks away after today. Maybe we’ll see more of its details down the line.

There will be a price hike involved with the Nothing new A model this year. The company has been consistent, and we admire that their devices are premium yet affordable. But it’s still an infant company, and Nothing struggles to source bulk components for manufacturing.

The price hike was bound to happen sooner or later. We also heard a rumor that the Phone (4a) Pro is switching to eSIM for the first time. But this could be a market-specific thing. One thing we know for sure is that the Pro and vanilla versions will both use Snapdragon 7 series chips.

No one knows the exact version of the chip meant to be used on Phone (4a) or (4a) Pro. There’s a possibility that either one or both of these handsets will be painted Blue, Pink, White, or Black. Pink is definitely an odd choice of color for a phone that’s meant to attract mainstream attention. We’ll share more details with you later. Keep watching the news.
