Nokia 9.3 PureView And Nokia 7.3 Might Arrive in Early September, Says NokiaPowerUser

The recently-released Nokia 8.3 was HMD Global’s flagship (at least sub-flagship) release for Q1 of 2020, and if it follows the general trend, the next flagship should arrive in late Q3, carrying attractive Nokia prices. And apparently, that’s what Nokia plans on doing. It’ll follow up last year’s Nokia 9 PureView, with an alleged Nokia 9.3 PureView.

NokiaPowerUser reports that the Nokia 9.3 PureView is already in the beta testing phase, which means the company has developed prototypes for it. If you recall, Nokia 9.3 PureView was originally rumored to be Nokia 9.1, which later became Nokia 9.2. But given the source for the ‘Nokia 9.3’ title is pretty credible, the next big Nokia flagship might arrive in late August or early September as the Nokia 9.3 PureView.

Unlike the Snapdragon 765 chipset that Nokia 8.3 uses, we might see Nokia 9.3 PureView debut with a Snapdragon 865 SoC. But that doesn’t mean we won’t see another SD7xx series power another Nokia device later this year (more on that in a few).

A string of rumors suggests that the manufacturer might lop off the ‘Light Technology’ that the original PureView featured. A pop-up camera module might facilitate its all-screen design. More rosy predictions point to an under-the-display front camera, but the hardware needed for that kind of a next-gen solution is crummy right now.

The Nokia 9.3 PureView release will also be joined by a 5G-powered Nokia 7.3. It's the sequel to last year’s Nokia 7.2, and it might arrive in two different editions: one LTE and the other 5G. A Snapdragon 700-series platform is supposed to drive this model. No words yet on the Nokia Price tags

If you go by this leaked launch schedule, the duo might debut at IFA 2020 in September. Nokia has previously introduced new devices at the event, so it won’t be a surprise if the Nokia 9.3 PureView and Nokia 7.2 were to make an appearance there. That being said, for this report to pan out, the Coronavirus situation should be resolved by late August. So depending on how things shake out over the next months, HMD execs will make the changes accordingly.
