We recently found some iPhone 17 mockups that showed its design in Green and Purple finishes. And now, just a few days later, the iPhone 17 Pro has been spotted in a viral video with all five of its colors. That includes the Papaya Orange shade everyone is talking about.
The 11-second clip that appeared on X shows a transition of all five colors on the iPhone 17 Pro. The device is a dummy unit, though it feels very accurate as far as the details go. There are three lenses on the back and a huge horizontal camera bar sitting at the top. It all but confirms a brand new design for this device.
The dummy piece seems to have the LIDAR sensor and LED flash pushed to the right side, and just as suspected, the Apple logo has been moved down for symmetry. The clip showed all five of its colors one by one: White, Grey, Black, Dark Blue, and Orange.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is supposed to bring the same design as the standard Pro but with a bigger size. If the leak holds, we might find the same five color options on the Pro Max variant. But for now, we’ll treat this information as mere speculation until more sources have confirmed it.
The purpose of this new design isn’t simply aesthetic. Apparently, the company has decided to mount a 48MP ultrawide camera on the latest iPhone Pro model this time, and this huge sensor can’t fit into a normal square-style lens module. That’s why the team had to extend the platform.
Rumor has it that the camera setup on the iPhone 17 Pro might include a 48MP Main, 48MP Ultrawide, and a 12MP telephoto unit with 5X zoom. Jeff Pu, the analyst who keeps tabs on Apple’s supply chain for potential leaks, said that the material used for the phone’s middle frame is no longer Titanium. It might be an Aluminum Alloy instead.
Its launch details are hit or miss. We suspect the 17 series will debut in September, since last year’s iPhone 16 series also came out in the same month, but it’s no more than a theory. Hopefully, as we get closer to the launch, the rumor mill will expose the rest of its details. Stay tuned.
