Infinix Smart 20 had a premature retail leak in February, before they made it official in March. We had already predicted that the phone would launch in Pakistan soon. We’ve been in contact with some insiders who report the Smart 20 is being prepped for a local release. The company will probably start teasing the handset in a couple of days.
The specs are not a secret because the phone is already selling in the global market. This is an entry-level device positioned exactly where the Tecno Spark 50 hails from. So you can expect a low price and good enough hardware to make it a daily driver. Power users should avoid it.
This newcomer is built around a Helio G81 Ultimate chip. This is just a 12nm 2.0GHz silicon, so we’d put this phone in the weak performance class. Hopefully, they’ll compensate for it with the price tag. Anyway, the Infinix latest Smart mobile only comes with 4GB RAM.
App won’t have a lot of room to stretch in the background. There’s Android 16 XOS 16 built into it by default. We have one variant with 64GB storage, and the other is a 128GB option. These are both eMMC 5.1 modules. The microSD card slot on the Smart 20 can bump the storage if needed.
There’s a simple 6.78” IPS LCD on the front, and its brightness is just shy of 700 nits. That means the screen will feel dim on extra sunny days. This is also a 120Hz 720p screen. Soft visuals are a downside, but you do get smooth animation, as far as the Helio G81 allows it.
Only an 8MP main shooter is installed on the back here, which is barely usable. Yes, we had the issue with the older Smart 10 and the Smart 10 Plus. The Smart 20 somehow manages to record 2K 30 FPS videos, when other phones with the same hardware barely manage 1080p 30 FPS.
There’s a selfie punch hole on the screen, where the 8MP sensor is installed. Only a single speaker is found at the bottom. IP64 rating, fingerprint ID, and the infrared remote are also present on the Smart 20. Everything is run on a 5200mAh battery, which uses a 15W input. We’ll know the exact price when it’s out. Keep watching the news for updates.
