Honor Play 10 was unveiled globally at the beginning of September. A month has passed, and the company now wants to deploy this handset in Pakistan. Honor recently teased the Play 10 on a Facebook post, saying it’s coming soon. The exact launch date and price are a mystery, but we already know the rest of its specifications.
The Honor Play 10 is a budget LTE device. It gives you a Helio G81 chip with 3GB base RAM and 64GB of storage. The hardware is too weak to keep up with the standard Android 15 OS. So, the company chose to give this device a lighter Android 15 Go OS. This firmware is less resource-intensive.
Part of the phone’s charm is a massive 6.74” screen at the front. It looks modern with a small notch and thin borders, but the specs seem outdated. This is a cheap TFT LCD with low color accuracy and viewing angles. It’s capped at 720p HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
A 13MP main unit is serviceable, recording 1080p videos at 30FPS. This is more than you can expect in this price range. Flip it over to the front and you’ll see a 5MP unit behind the screen’s water drop notch. The Honor's new budget model gives users a basic IP52 resistance on a thick 8.55mm frame.
There’s nothing flashy about its battery or charging. It sticks to a typical 5000mAh cell capacity. You can recharge it through a USB Type-C port over a 10W input. It will refill slowly, but offer at least a full day’s backup. The Ocean Cyan color keeps popping up in teasers, but we are sure there are more options.
It’s a cheap sub-entry-level handset with only a dual-band 5GHz WiFi card and a single speaker. The USB-C port is based on the USB 2.0 standard and comes with OTG support and reverse charging. The fingerprint ID lies on the side for quick access to the lock screen.
