Honor Play 10C 5G Goes Official with Big Battery and Smooth 120Hz Display

Honor Play 10C 5G has hit China today in a silent rollout. It lands as a budget entry-level 5G phone built for longevity and user comfort. Honor’s strategy is to deliver a daily workhorse that feels premium and carries familiar software with little to no compromises on the specs.

The new handset is built around a 6.61” IPS LCD that runs at 120 Hz and pushes around 1000 nits of brightness. The HD+ 720 display isn’t ideal if you are a pixel peeper, but it will help provide dependable battery life.

Power comes from MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300, a 5G-ready chip known for its efficient balance. Honor has paired it with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, all while keeping prices grounded. Honor didn’t stop at performance. There’s a massive battery inside this newcomer.

The highlight is a 6,000 mAh battery, which is rare in this bracket. With 15W wired charging, one refill will last you two days with a light hand. The camera setup on the Honor C new model, however, is straightforward: a 13MP rear shooter and 5MP front lens, tuned for clarity in decent light rather than flashy night photos.

An IP64 rating gives the phone dust-sealed protection and splash resistance, just enough for real-world accidental water exposure. It’s a practical touch in a budget frame, even if not flagship-grade. This safety standard is becoming common in this category, and the Honor Play 10C keeps up.

On software, Honor has bundled the latest generation UI here — an Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0, which comes with Google Mobile Services (Play Store, Gmail, Maps, YouTube, and more). The Play 10C arrives in three color options (black, blue, and white), offering subdued aesthetics rather than trendy flair.

It’s available in China now, and shipping begins today. Sadly, there’s no word yet on a global release. We have a 4/128GB variant here to kick things off, and it’s priced CNY 649 (~PKR 25,000). The 8/256GB trim costs a bit more at CNY 89 (~PKR 35,000), but it’s definitely an ideal choice if you want a lag-free experience out of its Android 15 OS.
