Following a seemingly endless string of leaks and promos, Honor finally unveiled their newest sub-flagship lineup, the Honor 50 series. It features Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro, and Honor 50 SE. And offers you high-end displays and crisp, high-resolution cameras — all powered by a brand new Qualcomm chip and Google services for global variants.
Honor 50 SE
The SE edition is the most affordable one in the Honor 50 lineup. It has a flat LCD with trimmed bezels and a hole punched through it. We’re looking at a 6.78” panel with a Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The on-screen camera here is 16MP.
On the back, we find three lenses encased in an oval housing. The Honor 50 SE array uses a 108MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens. The shell has a sunburst finish available in Black, Blue, and Silver colors. A side-facing thumbprint reader is etched into the frame.

It’s joined by a 4000 mAh battery (capable of fast charging over 66W) and up to 8GB+256GB of memory. Honor 50 SE is priced at CNY 2,399 (~ Rs. 59,000.)
Honor 50
Instead of an LCD, the Honor 50 has a curved 6.57” AMOLED screen. It refreshes at 120Hz, samples for touches at 300Hz, and houses its 32 MP front camera inside a single hole punch. This 10-bit display can produce 1 billion colors and delivers a sharp 1080P resolution. An optical fingerprint scanner is hidden underneath the OLED panel.
Honor 50’s camera island has the lens combination of the Honor 50 SE but with an additional 2MP portrait sensor. The shell comes in both grainy and glassy finishes — Frost Crystal, Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Amber Red.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G is at the heart of Honor 50 5G. It’s a newly-released chip, built on a 6nm process that bridges the flagship and mid-range mobile platforms. The chip runs on a 4300 mAh battery with 66W fast charging (Honor promises a 70% top-up in just 20 minutes.)
Honor 50 also carries over its memory configuration from the Honor 50 SE but starts from CNY 2,699 (~ Rs. 66,000.)
Honor 50 Pro
Think of the Honor 50 Pro as a beefed-up Honor 50 with the same body. Its camera system is identical to the standard edition, save for an extra 12MP ultrawide selfie camera. Honor 50 Pro’s display features a wider cutout to accommodate the second lens.
At 6.72”, the screen has bigger dimensions, but it shares the specifications with the Honor 50. The chip and memory are carried over wholesale.
Honor 50 Pro is offered in a single 256GB storage variant, powered by a 4000 mAh battery.
