We just caught a glimpse of Honor 500. It was seen in a spy shot leaked by Smart Pikachu. The tipster had plenty of other information on his Weibo post, but we’ll get to it in a second. The launch notice for this series will be given momentarily. These are all the details we have on the Honor 500 so far.

Chen Yuxi was flaunting the phone in public, apparently. She’s an Olympic diving champion from China. The sketches and blueprints for the new Honor 500 were already out. So it didn’t take that long for the internet to recognize this model.
Chen Yuxi held the phone in a selfie pose. That photo was clearly not staged, although the company has brought her in for Honor 500’s ad campaign. One could assume it’s a functioning unit under these circumstances. That could mean the device is ready to ship. We’ll get to see the launch schedule soon enough.

It’s a Blue variant. Most of the body has a lighter tone. But the color gets way more saturated as you reach the Honor flagship new model’s camera bump. This design takes after the iPhone Air, but with a dual-camera layout.
Smart Pikachu also talked about the screen being a mid-size 6.6” panel in his leak. The dimensions are slightly bigger this time, and for good reason. The battery capacity is much higher. The leaker says it’s 8000mAh, and they are obviously using Si/C anode for it.

The Honor 500 already made a cameo on Geekbench, which means the SoC and RAM have been exposed. There’s a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip on this model. A 16GB memory trim was used for the test run, but we should be getting more choices at launch.
We have never seen an Ultrasonic fingerprint in the family. Honor 500 Duo will be the first to see this flagship upgrade. There’s also a 200MP camera on the way, but we are not sure if it’s only for the Pro or both models. We’ll keep you posted on new developments. Keep watching the news.
