Apple's iPhone series will likely undergo a size transformation in 2024. Speculations on the internet suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro models will receive a significant bump in display size compared to all previous iPhones. Here’s a lowdown of all the exciting details.

Reliable sources indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature displays measuring approximately 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch, respectively. It marks a noticeable departure from the current 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays featured on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.

While the larger panels may cause a slight uptick in overall dimensions, both Pro models are gearing for slightly taller and wider aspect ratios than their 2023 counterparts while maintaining the same thickness. The potential implications of this size shift are intriguing.

The enhanced form factor could help Apple integrate larger batteries, addressing a common user demand for extended battery life. Furthermore, the stretched displays open the door for potential improvements in display technology or other internal upgrades in the new iPhone models.

At this point, the rumored size changes are exclusive to the Pro models. The standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will likely retain their current 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays. However, the hearsay suggests that Apple might introduce 6.27-inch and 6.85-inch displays to its standard iPhone 17 lineup.

The changes entail a shift to a taller 19.6:9 aspect ratio for all iPhones. It's crucial to note that these details are based on ongoing rumors and leaks, so a degree of skepticism is warranted. Apple typically unveils its iPhones in September, allowing ample time for new leaks and developments.
