No official launch date has appeared so far, but the company did promise to unveil the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 series this month. The rumor mill says there are four models in the lineup this time. Note 17 Pro Max and 17R will be new to the group. We’ve found a report with specs for at least three of the siblings.
The very basic model is Redmi Note 17. It’s said to have a 6.83” AMOLED. This will be a flat screen, of course. There’s already an official render image on the web with a preview. 1.5K resolution is a possibility on the Note 17, which will be an upgrade from the Note 15’s 1080p FHD+.
Either a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 or a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 would be used on the Xiaomi new redmi mobile. There’s still a little confusion on this topic. But there is one thing that everyone agrees on: the battery size. We’ll have a 9000mAh cell at the base level with the Redmi Note 17. Its charging will be 67W. The best camera on this phone is a 50MP unit.
The new report said that the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will actually end up on the Redmi Note 17 Pro. Every previous report had pegged a Dimensity 7500 on this newcomer. Well, we will see how that pans out. The Pro and non-Pro seem to have the same 1.5K AMOLED and 9000mAh battery. 50MP main camera is also kept the same.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in this report seems to have a Dimensity 7500 and a 200MP main camera. There were rumors that a 10,100mAh battery would end up inside the Pro, but the new report says it’s actually made for the Note 17 Pro Max. This newcomer possibly has the same 1.5K OLED.
Every phone will get Hyper OS 3.1 (Android 16). That’s pretty much a guarantee. They’ll all have high IP ratings and dual speakers. The so-called Note 17R hasn’t come up in any of the leaks on the internet. So this handset’s existence is still in question.
They’ve changed the design, but there are very minor hardware upgrades to speak of. Their batteries seem to be the one and only change that warrants the upgrade from the Note 15 lineup. There were only 5520 mAh and 6580 mAh cells on the base and Pro versions last time. The new phone bumped the cell size by almost 40%. Keep watching the news for more updates.
