Xiaomi Poco F5 5G Key Specs and Launch Timeframe Outlined in an Early Report

Xiaomi partner Poco plans to unveil the successor to its sub-flagship handset F4 5G soon. Clued by the brand's latest entry in IMEI Database, the Poco M4 Pro's upcoming sibling will set out under the moniker "Poco F5 5G." Moreover, a new report has appeared online ironing out the details about the phone's specifications.


Since the F5's forerunner debuted as a rebranded Redmi K40s, enthusiasts suspect the successor might be a rebranded Redmi K60 5G. Most Redmi-K series phones are China-exclusive and appear first. Following in the footsteps, the unannounced K60 might also debut ahead of the Xiaomi Poco F5 5G. Both phones will step out in the starting months of 2023.

In the latest IMEI database entry, the Chinese variant K60 appeared under the model number "23013RK75C," and the global version F5 appeared under "23013PC75G." Simply put, the "23" in the code refers to 2023, "01" to January, and "PC" refers to POCO. The letter "G" at the end suggests global. RK in the second model number points to the Redmi K series.


Furthering the report, the project codename assigned to Poco F5 is "Mandrian." The brand plans to mount the upcoming addition with top-of-the-line specs and hardware, at an affordable Xiaomi phone price. It will likely bear an AMOLED display with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits of illumination.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 will power the upcoming Poco model. Redmi K60 will have the same specs and features. The camera, battery, charging speed, and storage options are still a mystery on both phones are still a mystery. This report outlines the preliminary details, and we will likely see more leaks and reveals as time progresses.
