Xiaomi POCO F2 Is Coming Soon; Official Teaser Out and Key Specs Leaked

Back in 2018, Xiaomi's Pocophone F1 set the bar for flagship-killer phones — amazing hardware for an unbeatable price. So much so that Xiaomi spun it off into a new brand. After Poco M3, the successor to the original POCO now in the works. POCO just teased the POCO F2 on Twitter.

Following the M2, M3, and X3 in 2020, the Xiaomi POCO F2 is going to be their first phone for 2021. The POCO X3 falls into the mid-range. And the M series is entry-level. So neither series is meant to be a cheap flagship, the way F1 was. If that’s any guide, the POCO F2 should be pure flagship-grade — picking up where its predecessor left off.

But, the Snapdragon-845-wielding Pocophone F1 may very well be a one-off. At least according to the phone leaker Abhishek Yadav, who tweeted the alleged specifications for the upcoming phone. He reports that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G is at the heart of the F2 — the same chip you’ll find in the Xiaomi POCO X3 from last year.

It won’t be another X3 clone, however. Xiaomi POCO F2 features an AMOLED screen and NFC supports (you’ll be hard-pressed to find them in budget-minded phones). The display refresh rate peaks at 120Hz. Four cameras rest on the back. And a 4250 mAh battery powers the phone.

POCO is also planning on expanding its product catalog. A mystery POCO laptop was certified in India last month. Plus, a pair of budget-friendly TWS earbuds might be on the way as well.
