Following a leak spree that continued for months, the brand has finally introduced the Poco C85 to the global market. This is a sub-entry-level device, packing the same hardware as the month-old Redmi 15C. It carries a massive screen with a reliable battery to power it up. Here’s everything you need to know about Poco C85.

The phones in this category are usually the cheapest Poco makes. Even though it’s positioned as their least expensive handset, the C85 doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to power. It has a 6000mAh battery that can be recharged at a 33W input.

The newcomer hits 810 nits of brightness on a 6.9” IPS display. The panel should provide a decent view in harsh lighting. Its resolution is pretty modest at 720p HD+, but the refresh rate meets the current standards at 120Hz. Poco calls it the AdaptiveSync display. The phone scores a TÜV Rheinland safety rating for eyes.

Xiaomi Poco new model may not have the most impressive camera hardware, but it gets the job done with its 50MP main + QVGA secondary unit on the back. The selfie shooter is positioned in a mini water drop notch on the screen with an 8MP sensor size. Both sides record 1080p videos.

The SoC running the show is apparently a Helio G81 Ultra with a 2.0GHz peak clock speed. The phone has been given the full-fledged Android 15 x Hyper OS 2, so the performance may not be as smooth. Luckily, the Poco C85 has been upgraded to 8GB RAM (vs. 4GB on Redmi 15C), so expect passable multitasking on this newcomer.

The design looks pretty in Purple, Black, and Green styles. Flat side rails complement the whole flat edge construction, not to forget the darkened camera island to contrast the brighter tones. You can always count on Poco to deliver a premium build.

The C85 passed an IP64 rating test, which means it’s completely dust-proof, with a minor defense against water splashes. We also have dual-band WiFi, Fingerprint ID, a single speaker, an NFC chip, and several other essential features on the handset. This phone only costs $109 (~PKR 30,000) for the starter 6/128GB option, and goes for up to 129$ (~PKR 36,000) for the 8/256GB trim.
