Xiaomi's POCO M4 Pro was the last POCO to land in the local market. Mid-2022, Xiaomi launched POCO C40 on stage for global markets, which still hasn't reached most South Asian Regions, including Pakistan. Unfinished with the former, the brand is already at work, preparing the next C-series descendant.
The soon-to-be-launched POCO C50 - model number 220733SPI in the Google Play catalog has been added to the list of supported devices. Alongside the moniker Project code name "Snow" appeared on the list, meaning the smartphone might launch as a rebranded Redmi A1+ since it shares the same project name.
Continuing Xiaomi's spree of spin-offs and re-titled products, the C50 might be the next. Unlikely as it may sound, Its model number and project codename align perfectly with Redmi A1+, launched about two weeks ago. It's not entirely evident, but their traits might align as well.
Redmi A1+ is a remake of the A1 model; they share the same chassis, but the former has an added biometric scanner on the back. The back plate Xiaomi Redmi's new model consists of leather textured plastic. Its rear dual-camera system uses a primary 8MP sensor and a secondary 0.3MP depth sensor for photography.
Powered by a 5000mAh battery, Redmi A1 plus comes bundled with a 10W power adapter. The battery's rated for 30 hours of video playback and 30 days of standby. The build weighs around 192 grams.
At a cheap Xiaomi rate, Redmi A1 Plus wraps around a flat 6.52-inch IPS panel bearing HD+ resolution, 400nits max brightness, 120Hz touch sampling rate, and 70% NTSC color gamut. The bezels are chunkier than usual, and the V-notch on its header conceals a 5MP selfie camera.
Its MediaTek Helio A22 core teams with 3+32GB memory to run the Android 12 Go operating system. The impending C50 may take the former's apparent premium design to an actual premium standard phone with a slight spec bump.
