Vivo Y37 and Y37 Pro were released back-to-back in August and September 2024. There’s now a third device positioned in the middle. They’ve released Vivo Y37+ in China today. It has a weak camera and a low-end display, but the rest of its specs are not too shabby. Here’s all we know about the Vivo Y37+.

The screen is definitely not the high point for this Vivo Y37+. It’s just an IPS LCD with a notch on the top. The cutout conceals a 5MP selfie camera. The screen itself is 720p and 1000 nits. The brightness shouldn’t be a problem, but a 90Hz refresh rate is hardly reasonable for the price.
Anyway, this newcomer should be a decent performer at least. It runs a Dimensity 6300 engine. That’s a 6nm SoC. The boost clock speed on this chip is actually 2.4GHz. It’s faster than the Helio G200 and has 5G support too, which is one of the reasons it’s an expensive device.

There’s 8GB LPDDR4X RAM here. The storage is UFS 2.2, and the Y37+ comes in a single 256GB trim. Again, the performance on this Y37+ is nothing to scoff at. Even the battery on this newcomer is above average. They’ve planted a 6,000 mAh cell inside the handset. Here is a breakdown of the Vivo price catalog based on Pakistani market data.

The power pack has a 44W backup. And knowing Vivo, they’ll probably put the charger in the box. The same Type-C port can reverse charge and power accessories from OTG. Y37 Plus’ camera will be a sore point for many. They’ve installed a single 13MP unit on the back.

It can do 10X digital zoom, which is what they’ve advertised for the Vivo Y37+. But 13MP resolution barely puts together a good image without zoom. Then comes the 5MP selfie, which is even worse at taking photos. Both sides shoot somewhat usable 1080p videos.
SGS gave the Y37+ a drop-safe certification, but there’s no official IP rating for this handset. There’s an infrared remote here. It also has a fingerprint, but it’s on the side. Vivo Y37+ got a solo 8/256GB version, and its official price is 1,599 yuan, $230(~PKR 64,000).
