Vivo Y35 5G Officially Unveiled; Dimensity 700 Chip, HD+ screen, & 13MP Camera

The 5G variant of Vivo Y35 just got debuted in China. For those unaware, Vivo already has a 4G variant Y35 with Snapdragon 680 SoC docked in most Asian markets, including Pakistan. The new variant makes up for the lack of 5G bands but trims away some of the cherished Y35 specs. 


Vivo Y35 5G, compared to the original, has less screen resolution, pixel density, contrast ratio, refresh rate, GPU performance, charging speed, and, most importantly, the camera. Here are the revealed specs and pricing details of the phone.

There’s an intrusive teardrop notch melting inside Y35 5G’s 6.51-inch IPS screen. It encases stats like an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch, a 60Hz refresh, and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. It has a surprisingly low body-to-bezel ratio, clocking in at 88.9%.


Y35 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery and juices up using an 18W plug. The new Vivo 5G mobile is powered by a Dimensity 700 chipset and offers 4 GB, 6 GB, and 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM variants. Due to availability only in China, it runs Android 13 x Origin OS ocean by default. 


The front panel hides a 5-megapixel camera for selfies; simultaneously, the back panel has dual-lens protrusions enclosing a 13-megapixel primary, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and an LED flash. Essentials include 5G, dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB C-type, an audio port, and a fingerprint reader mounted on the power key. 

Vivo Y35 5G bears three gradient colorways; black, blue, and gold. The translated costs from Yuan to Dollar will be; ~172$ for 4+128GB, ~201$ for 6+128GB, and ~215$ for 8+128 GB. Due to Pakistan’s non-5G disposition, the chances of it arriving here are pretty slim. The 4G variant of the Y35 initially launched at Rs. 59,999 in Pakistan but after the recent price hike it costs even more than the Vivo Y55 price.
