Vivo is on the verge of launching upgraded iterations of the popular Y35 and Y35m models. The refreshed handsets don the monikers Vivo Y35+ and Y35m+, marking their superiority over the original devices. Multiple certification listings evince the imminent launch of these devices.

Delving further into the details, we discovered that Vivo Y35+ and Y35m+ bear similar model numbers, denoting the company’s strategy to launch the same device over different regions. The number V2279A has so far popped up on TENAA, 3C, and Google Play Console. Let’s take a look at what they’ve revealed.

According to 3C, the upcoming Vivo model draws power from a 5000mAh battery, supporting fast charging of up to 18W for quick refueling. Additionally, the device features a 50-megapixel primary camera at the rear and an 8-megapixel camera for selfies up front.

With a thickness of just 8.07mm and a weight of 190 grams, the new flagship Vivo mobile expects to be sleek and lightweight. V2279A, the same model number listed on TENAA, indicates that it’s a 5G-enabled device incoming with an octa-core processor operating at 2.2GHz frequency.

Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Y35m with Dimensity 700 engine; the rumor mill speculates Y35m+ to sport another advent MediaTek chip. And as indicated by TENAA, a mammoth 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage capacity will complement the chip.

Despite the slightly varying nomenclature, both devices share the same model number, pointing towards a possible rebranding strategy to service distinct markets. Still, the claim is suggestive if the certification listings are something to go by. We suggest taking the latter details with a hint of sarcasm.
