Vivo Y32 Rehashed with 8000mAh Battery, Unisoc T7300 SoC, and Origin OS 6

A new handset made a silent debut in Bangladesh today. You may remember the Vivo Y32 from 2021. That device now has a successor with the same name. We’ve seen Vivo rehash dead or long-forgotten devices over and over. Vivo Y32 (2026) is next in line to cash in on the success of its predecessor.

“2026” is not present in the official moniker. We’ve only put it there to avoid any confusion. The new Vivo Y32 is yet again a 4G LTE device. It’s been 5 years since the early model, so you might think the newcomer will be a huge upgrade. Well, not exactly.

The screen is still using 720p HD+ resolution and an IPS panel. The size is a little bigger at 6.87”, and its refresh rate is upgraded to 120Hz. Vivo new Y mobile peak brightness is now 1300 nits. We’ve rarely seen IPS LCDs push that kind of brightness.

Probably the biggest upgrade in the new Y32 is its 8000mAh battery. In 2021, we couldn’t even fathom that kind of number on a smartphone, but here we are. This 8000mAh cell will last two days on average on a single charge. The battery is refilled over a wired 44W charger.

The phone only has Origin OS 6 and Android 16 to boot. There’s no Android 17 for the Y32 yet. The OS runs on a Unisoc T7300 (6nm). It isn’t exactly a big upgrade over the existing model’s Snapdragon 680 (6nm). The new chip does unlock better UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

In the Vivo Y32’s case, we either have 6GB RAM or 4GB on the base trim. And there’s 128GB max storage. We are glad to see the hole cutout on the screen, where they’ve put the same 8MP selfie camera as the 2021 version. The main rear camera did get an upgrade to 50MP.

The phone went from no durability rating to the best durability rating there is. The new Vivo Y32 has an IP69 waterproof and dustproof chassis. We have a power key fingerprint reader. And it has dual-band WiFi. Vivo Y32 (4/128GB) starter variant is priced at BDT 30,999 (~PKR 70,000).
