At least four new models are included in the next Vivo X500 series. The device you’ll see at the lowest rank will be the Vivo X500e. The details were well hidden until now. We found a leak today that talks about the X500e’s core specs and design. This is everything you need to know.
This may be the only model in the series that doesn’t have the Dimensity 9600. All the rest will use that specific chip. Digital Chat Station seems to believe that the X500e is actually built around a Snapdragon 8 series engine, though its name wasn’t specified in his Weibo post.
By the way, DCS didn’t really say the device’s name either, but media channels citing this new leak unanimously agree that it could be the new Vivo X500e. So we are also extending them the benefit of the doubt. But it doesn’t change the fact that solid proof is still needed for the phone’s identity.
For now, though, there’s no choice but to accept that it’s a Vivo X500e. DCS has predicted a 6.59” small screen on this newcomer, so it might actually be a compact phone. The camera module will be in the corner. That’s another major tip DCS gave about the X500e’s design. Check the updated Vivo Price List that helps you find the perfect smartphone at the right price.
The phone may not have a horizontal camera bar or a strip, just your regular top-left island. Of course, all the lenses and sensors the phone might have should be optimized by ZEISS. By the way, the other three siblings are coming with a circular camera module, so the X500e is very easy to tell apart.
The sensors for the cameras weren’t namedropped here, but DCS thinks some heavy hitters from the Sony IMX 8 series are probably being installed on the Vivo X500e. This little claim also needs substantiation.
The four models may not launch together, though. It is said that all three models that do have a Dimensity 9600 are grouped, and the X500e that has a Snapdragon 8 series chip might actually ship with the X500 Ultra model that is supposed to debut later with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. One group is probably shipping in September. And the other has a long way to go until the first half of 2027.
