The X500 series has been a subject of leaks for a while now. And the latest one has revealed the potential telephoto camera on the Vivo X500 Ultra. The leak spread like wildfire as soon as it was posted on Weibo. It’s being reported that Vivo may be evaluating three potential options for the 200MP periscope telephoto camera on the Vivo X500 Ultra.
The 200MP part is pretty much set in stone. They won’t budge from this resolution, though at this point, there are many good periscope telephoto sensors out there that match the description. Digital Chat Station found three sensor options Vivo will pick from.
Apparently, they might throw caution to the wind and go all in on a 200MP 1/1.12” sensor, which will be the largest outsole of its kind so far. There are also safer but traditional 200MP 1/1.3” and 200MP 1/1.4” sensors, which will allow them more flexibility with the design of the phone since they take less space.
Of course, the bigger the sensor, the more space it will use on the camera island. And that will limit their flexibility with the phone’s design. It would make the frame thicker, so they’ll have to find the right balance before they commit to one sensor. Keep up with the latest Vivo phone prices and new arrivals in Pakistan to find the perfect smartphone for your needs.
By the way, as things stand right now, they’ve already put a 1/1.4” 200MP sensor on the X300 Ultra. So if they did want to upgrade the hardware, we believe the safest bet would be a 200MP 1/1.3” periscope telephoto shooter on the X500 Ultra. That way, they have a clear upgrade path for the next generation.
Going for a larger aperture would almost definitely make the photos better. More light falls on the diode, hence more detail in the photos. Of course, this will also result in higher dynamic range, though the rabbit hole on that subject goes deep. There are reports that the X500 series will use LOFIC HDR and that’s going to make a big difference. Keep watching the news for more updates.
