Leakers have started tailing the Vivo X500 Pro Max after exposing nearly everything about the standard Pro version. It had only been a few days since we saw the phone’s display specs in a leak. The same source has now found the camera hardware that could be used on the X500 Pro Max.
It was DCS who shared the display specs earlier in one of his Weibo posts, and he has yet again posted new details about the Vivo X500 Pro Max’s camera setup. Handsets from this lineup usually end up in Pakistan, so this might be of interest to some of you.
Apparently, there are three cameras on the rear. The main camera used on the X500 Pro Max could be a 50MP (1/1.28”) LOFIC Sony sensor. Yes, the same LOFIC system Xiaomi has been using for ages on its flagship phones will grace Vivo devices now for a far better HDR performance.
There’s another 50MP camera. It’s obviously the ultrawide lens. The leaker said on his leak that the wide sensor got an upgrade. The lens has an IMX8 midsole. But these are just side options. What the industry’s really raving about is the Persiope Teletphoto Camera on the Vivo latest Max model.
The third and biggest lens of all is the 200MP 1/1.4” periscope telephoto sensor loaded on the phone’s back. There was no other info about the cameras in his leak, but one of DCS’s older posts did have the display information.
This newcomer is probably built around a 6.85” flat LIPO OLED that has a 2.5D glass on top, so you see very thin bezels on the edges. The resolution is 2K or 1440p. 144Hz is the max refresh rate on the X500 Pro Max. BOE seems to be the supplier for the phone’s display.
The X500 Pro Max could be the one to use the unreleased Dimensity 9600 SoC. Big upgrades are coming to this silicon, the best part being its 2nm process node. There are possibly four siblings in the whole lineup, and they are supposed to announce it in September. Keep watching the news for more updates.
