Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has arrived in local stores after a global stint. This is a midrange phone by all metrics, and its specs revolve around a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and a huge 7000mAh battery. Motorola doesn’t really have a supply chain in our region, so CoreTECH Pakistan is chosen as the official distribution partner.
There are two versions of the phone in the global market, but we were lucky enough to get a 7000mAh edition, though it does mean a thicker 8mm chassis. The charging should be decently fast. 68W is the max input supported by the Moto Edge 70 Fusion.
The Motorola latest Edge mobile performs the same as the Nothing Phone (3a) or (3a) Pro. That’s because they have the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip. It’s a 2.5GHz CPU, and the onboard GPU is Adreno 810. The camera setup doesn’t have a telephoto zoom lens.
There’s a 50MP main camera on the back, and the ultrawide shooter is a 13MP sensor right next to it. Then we have a punch-hole on the display for a 32MP selfie camera. The cameras do 4K 30 FPS recording, front and back, which is a nice little bonus.
By the way, this Edge 70 Fusion is built around an AMOLED at 6.78” with 1.5K resolution. This is a sharp screen, and the pixels are pushed at a 144Hz refresh rate. There’s HDR10+ support here, and the peak brightness over HDR content is 5200 nits. Gorilla Glass 7i will guard the screen.
The phone also has really impressive durability with its IP68 and IP69 waterproof ratings. It’s also MIL-STD-810H compliant, so you get 1.2m drop safety as well. Its default OS is Android 16. And the newcomer is actually primed for 3 major OS updates.
There are two speakers on the frame, so it has stereo output for audio. And they’ve put a fingerprint reader (optical) on the screen. Edge 70 Fusion has BT 6 and WiFi 6e support as well. The version shipping to Pakistan has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and its official price tag is Rs 139,999.
