Vivo is constantly updating fans with details about the Vivo X300 series. So far, they’ve gone over the camera specs and the OriginOS 6 user experience on the X300 phones. And now, Vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao has spilled the tea on the vanilla X300’s display.

Boxiao’s latest post on Weibo talks about the bezel thickness on the X300 series. Since it comes from one of the company’s managers, the claim is pretty much set in stone. The displays used on X300 and X300 Pro have visibly thinner bezels than Apple’s current flagships.

The teased image shows a side-by-side view of the iPhone 16 Pro and Vivo X300. Another render he shared a few hours ago showed the X300 Pro next to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This is peak display innovation, and it shows Vivo isn’t afraid to push the envelope.

From what we’ve gathered from the official details, these are the thinnest borders ever seen on a Vivo phone, and it’s only made possible with LIPO technology. This advancement in display production for the new Vivo flagship mobile actually came from BOE and Vivo’s combined efforts.

The OLED screens (6.3” on the X300 and 6.78” on the Vivo X300 Pro) both use BOE’s customized Q10 Plus light-emitting material, which seems to be created under Vivo’s supervision. This boosted color accuracy and scaled up the brightness on these phones. ZEISS helped calibrate the display colors. It doesn’t end there.

They also plan to use a dual eye-care system on these handsets. The X300 series will carry the usual 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, a common feature on Chinese phones. But you should also note its Full-brightness DC dimming feature that minimizes eye fatigue if you crank up the brightness.

Vivo’s Han Boxiao has already teased an HPB 200MP main camera on the X300 in addition to the Sony IMX885 telephoto sensor with 3X zoom. Digital Chat Station leaked its resolution at 50MP while also confirming a third 50MP ultrawide shooter on the phone’s back. The X300 series launches in October, so we have plenty of time for the rest of its details to come out. Keep watching the news, folks.
