Vivo X300 Series Makes Global Debut with Higher Prices and Smaller Batteries

Just as Oppo dropped its Find X9 series globally, Vivo has also made the Vivo X300 lineup international, and the first wave of retail begins in Vienna, Europe. The X300 and X300 Pro are flagship devices, and the whole world has been waiting for them to exit China. Well, the wait is over, and just as we suspected, Vivo jacked up their prices and decreased their battery capacities. You’ll find all the details below.

Vivo X300 Pro

The European X300 Pro keeps the same specs as the Chinese model, but the battery size takes a big hit due to EU certification hurdles. This phone had to drop the capacity from 6510mAh to 5440mAh. We still have high hopes that the markets outside Europe will retain the original battery capacity.

Besides that minor setback, X300 Pro is still the most bleeding-edge phone the company has ever made with a Dimensity 9500 (3nm) chip at its heart. This is a new silicon from MediaTek with a 4.21 GHz clock speed. There are eight cores here, and we get a new Arm Mali G1-Ultra GPU that brings 40% better ray tracing performance over the last generation.

The X300 Pro has a bigger screen than the basic model. This handset is built around an LTPO 120Hz 6.8” panel, which is a proper flagship screen with all the bells and whistles. The bezels are uniform and thin all around with HDR10+ and 4500 nits peak brightness. There’s also 1.5K resolution on this screen.

We have an IP69 rating here and an Aluminium Alloy casing sandwiched in a glass front and back. The ZEISS logo and T* lens coating are also there, and we meet the telemacro telephoto periscope camera once again with 200MP resolution and 3.7x optical zoom. This one’s using the Samsung HP5 sensor this time.

There are two other lenses on that circular plateau: one is a 50MP main OIS, and the other is an Ultrawide 50MP sensor. One more 50MP lens sits on the screen, which takes selfies and 4K 60fps videos. European X300 Pro is really expensive, though. We only found a single 16/512GB option here, and it could set buyers back around €1,399 (~PKR 459,000).

Vivo X300

This is a cheaper option, but you lose the screen size advantage, a little bit of battery capacity, and the 200MP periscope camera. This newcomer keeps the same display specs as the Pro, but shrinks the size down to 6.31 inches. It’s still an LTPO 120Hz AMOLED 4500 nits screen.

The resolution is the current industry standard 1.5K (1216 x 2640p). They didn’t say what glass type protects the screen, but an IP69 rating does keep it safe from water and dust. Both phones have the new Origin OS 6 and Android 16 pair. Yes, they’ve discontinued FunTouch, and Origin OS has become the default for all global devices.

Vivo X300 also ropes in a Dimensity 9500 chip with UFS 4.1 storage and 16GB RAM, so it will keep up with the Pro in almost every task. They moved the 200MP sensor under the Main lens and dropped the periscope telephoto resolution to 50MP.

The X300 retains the 50MP ultrawide (AF) that you can use for close-up or wider FOV shots, and we have a 50MP selfie shooter on the front. The European version only has a 5360mAh cell (vs. 6040mAh in China). At least they didn’t skimp on the charging speed.

Both phones have 90W wired and 40W wireless inputs. The other specs they have in common are Infrared ports, dual speakers, WiFi 7, ultrasonic fingerprint readers, and NFC. Vivo X300 in the 16/512GB trim is priced at €1,099 (~PKR 360,000), which is way cheaper than the Pro model.
