Vivo V80 Lite 5G arrived in Pakistan just a few days ago. We thought that chapter was forever closed, but apparently, they’ve released a new global version of the V80 Lite that slaps the one in our market with a 30% bigger battery. It also has a different design.
The original Vivo V80 Lite only carried a 7,050 mAh battery, which seems puny against the new V80 Lite’s 10,000 mAh cell. That’s at least 30% more capacity than the Pakistani version. You can game on that battery for 14 hours and play videos on a loop for 30 hours straight.
That battery has a 4th-gen Si/C anode. Both versions of the phone have the same charging speed, though. They do refills at a 44W input. It’s adequate for the 7050mAh version, but probably sluggish for the 10,000mAh cell. There’s one more disparity between the two versions.
The V80 Lite in Pakistan actually shipped with a faster and more efficient 4nm Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC. The global V80 Lite is a tad slower with its basic Dimensity 7300e, which is a 6nm platform. For the Pakistani Vivo V80 Lite, it’s all about thin design, curves, and 1.5K 3D AMOLED with tapered edges. Vivo V80 Lite global has a completely flat profile, and it’s built around a 1.5K OLED at 6.83”. The brightness hits 2000 nits HBM, and there’s HDR10+ support here.
Cameras didn’t really change across versions. Vivo V80 Lite, Pakistani or global, carries the same 50MP main unit next to a 2MP bokeh sensor, and there’s a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The phone runs on Android 16 and Origin OS 6.
There’s an IP69 rating on the V80 Lite (global), stereo speakers are used on the chassis, and we have a fingerprint ID on the screen. Malaysian market grabbed the new V80 Lite version first. Its base price is $346 (~PKR 96,000) for the 6/128GB trim.
