The launch date for Vivo’s V70 series has been confirmed. They plan to release the basic V70 and V70 Elite together on February 19th, which is only two weeks away now. We are slowly getting familiar with the lineup in the meantime. There’s already a joint product listing for both devices on the company’s website.

These newcomers have a midrange and semi-flagship status. The vanilla V70 is built around a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, which is used inside the former V60 as well. Then comes the V70 Elite. That’s an entirely new category in the series. And this one runs on Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

The microsite and launch date are both for the Indian market, by the way. The launch will begin in that region, but soon, more markets will welcome the V70 series. These newcomers stick to the premium hardware. They’ve again outfitted both phones with ZEISS optics and T* lens coating. Therefore, to check the Vivo mobile prices, ranging from budget-friendly options to premium flagship models just visit our website.

We know already that each phone has a 50MP Sony IMX882 3X telephoto camera and a 50MP IMX766 primary rear camera. There’s supposedly another 50MP sensor for the selfie shooter. A total of three lenses have been shown on each phone, but the resolutions of ultrawide sensors are kept secret.

Again, distinguishing specs for each device has been a challenge. The Vivo V70 lineup will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Those are the fastest standards in the midrange and above, where these Vivo devices are positioned.

Each device will grab Android 16 and Origin OS 6. The FunTouch is no longer in the picture. There’s going to be a 6.59” Ultra clear OLED on the V70 series, and the brightness hits 5,000 nits on that panel. It’s a 1.5K resolution 120Hz screen, by the way. There’s also a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader here.

This series has a 6,500 mAh battery and 90W fast charging. The chassis is rated IP69. The V70 Elite is presumed to have an X Linear Haptic motor. Vivo has planned 4 years of OS updates for both newcomers. Keep watching the news for more updates.
