Our suspected price for the Vivo V70 was right on the money. They’ve just unveiled the handset in Pakistan. Vivo V70 will hit the storefronts on March 5th. In the meantime, there’s a 3-day pre-order window that starts today, March 2nd. This is everything you need to know about the device before placing an order.

Vivo V70 has a smaller screen than the V60, but it looks way more premium. It’s a 6.59” AMOLED that has 5000 nits maximum (local peak) brightness. And the resolution is your usual 1.5K (1260 x 2750p) with 120Hz refresh rate. It’s the first time a V series phone has an Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor upgrade.

By the way, the phone is no longer a glass-plastic bar. Vivo's new flagship mobile upgraded the middle frame to Aluminum Alloy, which is much more sturdy and has a nicer in-hand feel as well. The camera island mimics Pro iPhones, with a little bit of Vivo and ZEISS flare.

Apparently, the dual 50MP camera setup has returned. There’s a 50MP OIS main shooter next to a 50MP periscrope telephoto lens with a 3.7x zoom range. The ultrawide camera is 8MP. But you do get a 50MP selfie unit to match the rear sensors. Those cameras got upgraded to 4K recording at full 60 frames per second.

The faster storage may be the reason for better frame rates. They’ve kept the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip on this handset. But its storage support is scalable. Vivo upgraded the V70 from UFS 2.2 to UFS 4.1, and that improves performance immeasurably.

Battery and Charging-wise, the Vivo V70 is still stuck at 6500mAh with 90W backup. We don’t expect the endurance to be any different this time, though there’s a slight chance it could be worse because of the higher screen resolution on the V70.

They also upgraded the OS to Origin OS 6, with Android 16 core. Vivo plans at least 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches for the Vivo V70. The handset covers the basics well with an IP69 rating and dual speakers, not to forget WiFi 6 and an IR remote. There’s a 12/256GB trim that starts at Rs 169,999 in Pakistan. Vivo V70 can be upgraded to 12/512GB, but it costs Rs 184,999.
