Vivo V70 Hits Multiple Certifications at Once; Global Launch Right Around the Corner

Vivo V60’s short selling period will soon be over. And its replacement is already doing the mandatory rounds on global certification platforms. Their new Vivo V70 has been cleared in at least three Asian countries. It would probably launch in those regions within the next few weeks.

The platforms that have cleared the Vivo V70 are SIRIM (Malaysia) and SDPPI in Indonesia. The third Asian country to clear this phone is Thailand on its NBTC platform. The same V2538 model number has been seen on all three regulatory databases.

All three of these certifications clearly mention the name of the phone, associated with the V2538 model code. Even before these listings had appeared, this newcomer was found in the FCC database, which means it’s headed for the USA too. Additionally, you have the option to review all the Vivo mobile prices.

It’s a global device for sure. We also came across an entry on the NBD database, where this same phone has been seen with 8/256GB and 12/256GB memory trims. The Vivo V70 is revealed to have a 6.517” screen, which could be an AMOLED.

Its color options are probably Red, Yellow, Gold, and Black. Limited details have appeared in these new listings. FCC and Geekbench, however, had plenty to share on the Vivo V70. One of the confirmed specs is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.

Both platforms showed the Android 16 operating system on the V70. This is a 5G device, of course. The V70 scored WiFi 6, and there’s a built-in NFC chip and Bluetooth module. Geekbench had already tested the device, and it seems to have 8GB RAM.

The internet suspects Vivo V70 is a rebranded Vivo S50, just like the V60 was the S30 substitute for the global market. As such, the specs are no longer a secret for either device. The V70 could use the same 6.59” AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone’s price may be close to $500 globally.
