Vivo V40 SE 5G Launches in Europe with 120Hz AMOLED, Snapdragon 4 Gen2, Android 14

Vivo has officially introduced the V40 SE 5G to the European market, targeting the mid-range segment with its striking design and noteworthy specifications. This launch accompanies the unveiling of Vivo's foldable flagships, the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro, but the V40 SE stands out for its more accessible pricing.


While the official pricing is yet to unravel, the V40 SE 5G is currently available in Austrian and European regions, with plans to serve as the official smartphone for Euro 2024. And regarding specifications, the V40 SE 5G impresses with semi-premium hardware and features.

It has a 6.67-inch Ultra Vision AMOLED Display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, and remarkable brightness of up to 1200 nits, reaching 1,800 nits for HDR content. It ensures excellent readability even in bright outdoor conditions. 


The Vivo budget 5G mobile offers a sleek and manageable form factor with dimensions of 158.3 x 73.1 x 7.79 mm and a weight of 185.5g. Powering the V40 SE 5G is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.


Running on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, the device promises smooth performance for everyday tasks and light gaming. The phone features a versatile triple-camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. At the same time, selfie lovers get a 16MP front-facing camera.

With a robust 5,000mAh battery and 44W fast charging support, the Vivo V40 SE ensures efficient power management, with features like Smart Charging Engine 2.0 and Overnight Charging Protection extending battery life and safety. It comes in Crystal Black and Leather Purple color options, offering an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
