While we are still waiting for the Flagship Tecno Camon 17 Series, the budget-sensitive brand is all set to release the Spark 7 Pro, an affordable midrange addition to the Tecno Lineup. The rollout started in Africa first, where Tecno and other entry-level brands like it have a strong presence but the phone will soon make its way to Pakistan.

First things first, there’s little that sets the Tecno Spark 7 Pro apart from the Spark 7 in appearance. It has the same notch, back-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the ‘Spark’ branding stamped along its length.

Even the Spruce Green, Alps Blue, and Magnet Black shades are shared between the two models, but the Spark 7P adds a dazzling Summer Mojito to this palette.

High screen refresh rates have trickled down to entry-level phones, and Tecno isn’t lagging far behind. Despite the basic 720P resolution it delivers, the Spark 7 Pro display can refresh at 90Hz. It’s an oversized 6.8” panel, and the shell is a hefty 9.15mm thick, so the 7 Pro is a big phone.

Pop the hood to find a MediaTek Helio G80 at the heart of Spark 7 Pro. It’s expected to be powered by a massive 5000 mAh battery and HiOS based on Android 11. No fast charging support is available, but Tecno promises two weeks of standby on a single top-up. The storage comes in 128GB and 64GB flavors, paired with 4GB of memory.

The camera specifications of the Spark 7P are not confirmed yet, apart from having the three rear lenses. The main camera is speculated to be a good one, the other lenses are also unspecified and mostly there to pad the count. For selfies, you get a similarly unremarkable camera. Tecno Spark 7 Pro is expected to cost anywhere around Rs. 22,000 to 27,000 PKR.
