Tecno Pova 8 Pro Grabs Multiple Certifications; Reveals Battery and Other Key Specs

Google Play Console indexed the Pova 8 on its database last month, so we already knew it was coming. Although the news we bring you today confirms that it won’t be alone. They also seem to be adding Tecno Pova 8 Pro to the lineup, and that device got clearance from two regulatory authorities today. This is what we found.

This is obviously the successor of Pova 7 Pro. That device was actually made global last summer. So we are already in the zone for its replacement. Maybe the Pova 8 Pro will launch in a couple of weeks. Anyway, we do know that the device exists because of the FCC and TUV certifications.

FCC and TUV both said the same thing about the battery on this handset. Pova 8 Pro will put a huge 6340 mAh battery on the frame. That’s the true capacity, by the way. They will round that up to 6500 mAh for the advertisement as a so-called “typical rating.”

That was the only common thing we found on both certifications, and they part ways with TUV being no help in terms of other specs. FCC had plenty of other details, though. We found out that the Pova 8 Pro is actually a thick 8mm handset. If you want to check accurate Tecno rate list please visit our website.

The newcomer has a frame with (162 x 77 x 8 mm) measurements. There’s 5G support here. We bet that the device is actually built around a Dimensity chip. But we don’t know the exact model at this time. The rest of the essentials are pretty much what you would expect on a midranger.

The WiFi is dual-band, and Bluetooth support can be found on the Pova 8 Pro with an NFC chip on the mobo. We learned one more thing about this newcomer, which is the storage. Apparently, the Tecno Pova 8 Pro will go all the way up to 512GB, and that trim will have 12GB RAM. You can even see the design blueprint of the handset in the FCC files. Keep watching the news for more updates.
