Tecno did unveil the vanilla Pova 8 last week, but there’s still one device left in the series. The Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G has yet to go official, but first it has appeared on the Google Play Console. The frontal design was shown in the database, and a few of its specs were also mentioned there.

It doesn’t seem to be a render. This is the phone’s real-life image, but it wasn’t very helpful as presented on the GPC. We do see a punch hole and an extra button on the side that could be the One Tap AI key Tecno usually puts on the Hot series.
The specs are rather intriguing. Tecno LK7, or the Tecno new Pova Model, is actually built around a Dimensity 7300 SoC, which will make this phone a midranger by performance. That’s a silicon with a 2.5GHz boost clock speed, and the GPU is a four-core Mali G615.

There seems to be 12GB RAM on the handset. This is usually the sweet spot. They also gave a screen resolution on the GPC listing. The phone seems to have 1.5K resolution, or 1208x2644 pixels to be exact. That kind of pixel count would only mean an AMOLED on the Pova 8 Pro.

It goes without saying that this new device will also have Android 16, since the basic Pova 8 also used the same firmware with HiOS 16 skin. The update support will also be the same on each device, if that’s the case. These phones will probably have more than a few similar specs.
There were other certifications that gave away the exact dimensions of this Pova 8 Pro 5G, and they are nothing out of the ordinary. This newcomer is at least 8mm thick. We’ll see 512GB storage on one of the options. There’s supposed to be a 6,500 mAh battery on the handset. That’s everything we have for now. Keep watching the news for updates.
