After the first appearance in Bangladesh, the Pro variant of the Tecno Pop 6 is slowly but surely making its way through every region in the subcontinent. Based on the brand's usual debut timeline, the newcomer should arrive in Pakistan within a month or two. The phone is surprisingly low cost for the specs it offers. Let's see what it packs inside.
In this price segment, Tecno Pop 6 Pro features a rarely seen side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. In addition, it has a decent 6.56-inch IPS screen with a waterdrop notch, an HD+ 720 x 1612 resolution, 267PPI density, and 480 nits of brightness.
There's a diagonal gradient pattern on the back plate. The phone has chamfered chassis and a double-lens camera bump. The primary 8MP camera lies at the top, while the secondary AI sensor rests at the bottom. The bottom left corner of the frame has Tecno branding engraved on it.
Pop 6 Pro has MediaTek Helio A22 core. It's a capable enough 12nm quad-core CPU with a max clock speed of 2.0GHz. Plus, with Android 12 GO, the newest addition to the price list of Tecno doesn't need high resources to run the UI. The integrated PowerVR GE8320 GPU drives the gaming performance here.
The unit comes prebuilt with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space, but the storage space can go up to 1TB using an SD card. The phone is a plastic-glass mesh having 8.8mm in thickness and 164 grams in weight. With its 83.2% screen-to-body ratio, the top bezel accommodates a 5MP selfie cam in a notch.
The newcomer draws energy from a 5000mAh cell, using a standard MicroUSB plug to recharge. Extras include 3.5mm, Dual-SIM support, splash resistance, and Peaceful Blue & Polar Black skin colors. Pricing details are not yet official, but it should cost around 17,500 PKR.
