New launches from Tecno have declined in recent times and the last to reach Pakistan was Tecno Spark 8C. But the brand is expected to pick the pace up soon. The Transsion-owned phone manufacturer just released a successor to its ultra-budget Pop 5 Series. The new Tecno Pop 6 made its debut in Nigeria, and it should head to more markets shortly.

Tecno's line of Pop phones features one of the cheapest phones from this brand. And the new Tecno Pop 6 is also as bare-bones as it gets. We start with the Front Screen which is a 6.1” IPS LCD, furnishing a 720P resolution. It’s wrapped with rich bezels and a drop notch. The notch is used to house a 5MP front Shooter alongside a flash.

Flip the Pop 6 over to find a dual-camera system featuring two 5MP lenses. Apart from the optics, you also get a fingerprint sensor on the back. The battery size is 5,000 mAh, and it charges over an outmoded micro-USB standard.

An unknown processor powers the Tecno new POP model. probably an old-gen quad-core CPU clocked at a modest 1.3GHz. Ram is limited to 3GB and the 32GB storage also feels out of place in 2022, However, you can expand the memory with a microSD slot Card slot. The whole casing is 9.7 mm thick, making it a chunky dual-SIM device.

Other highlights include a face id feature, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, 4G support, and a Bluetooth 4.2 module. Featuring Android 11 Go edition out of the box, You can pick from Lime Green, Sky Blue, and Sea Blue colors. The POP 6 build, of course, is plastic and costs around USD 130, converting to some 25,700 PKR.
